Professionals say that starting your Christmas shopping early is the best way to save money and spread out the cost. You can get into many of these shows early because they happen in November. Shopping small and local also helps the local business, which is very important. Good for both sides.

What Christmas events are going to be held in Tunbridge Wells in 2023?

  • This is the Wealden Times Midwinter Fair. It will be held at The Hop Farm in Paddock Wood from November 16th to 18th. More than 250 carefully chosen sellers will have unique, hand-made gifts that people will want for Christmas. All of them were held in seven warm tents that were connected to each other. You can buy tickets HERE.
  • The Molly Dishwasher Christmas pop-up shop is always a nice thing to do. As soon as we know more, we’ll add it here.
  • The Speldhurst Winter Market will be held at the Speldhurst Village Hall on November 11th, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. It looks like a great afternoon for people of all ages. There will be great food and drinks, kid-friendly games, great booths, and more!
  • The Tunbridge Wells Artisan and Crafts Market is being put on by Eventissima Events four times this season! On November 12 and 19, as well as December 3 and 17, from 10 am to 3.30 pm, on Sundays at One Warwick Park. You’ll be able to buy jewellery, art, clothes and accessories, health and beauty products, soaps and candles, and a lot more.
  • They are having a holiday market at Buckhurst Works, Bayham Road, Bells Yew Green (TN3 9BP) on November 25th and 26th, 2023, from 10am to 4pm. Forty skilled local artists, makers, and crafters will be there, along with tasty food and drink stands, a pizza truck that looks like an old fire truck, and a person selling Christmas trees on the front lawn.
  • A Christmas fair will be held at Crowborough’s St. John’s Primary School on December 2 at 11 a.m.
  • A Christmas fair is held every year at Little Rascals Nursery in Tunbridge Wells. As soon as we know more, we’ll post it here.
  • Tablehurst Christmas Food Market: This is a really cute Christmas event that happens every year and is free to get into. It has a lot of Tablehurst Farm goods. If we find out anything else, we’ll post it here.
  • The Tunbridge Wells Indie Makers Market will be held at The Forum on November 25 from 12 to 3 p.m. There are probably going to be a lot of great Tunbridge Wells businesses here. We don’t know all of them yet, but please go and support them.
  • Christmas at the Castle: This huge market in Tonbridge will be open every day from November 26 at 4 p.m. during the week and from noon on weekends. Lots of local shops will be open for business, and there will be a bar, live music and lights that twinkle. It sounds really holiday-like.
  • There will be a Winter Festival in Southborough Street on December 9th from 1 to 6 p.m. At 5pm, the Christmas lights will be turned on for a full dose of holiday cheer. There will also be food, music, gift stands, Santa’s cave, and a lot more!
  • The Christmas Craft Market will be held at Maidstone Museum on December 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can look at many lovely craft stands selling handmade and unique items, baked and sweet treats, art, and much more, and find that perfect Christmas gift.
  • Marden at Christmas is back on November 24th and 25th. This is a neighbourhood event that everyone loves.
  • There is a lot of holiday joy at the Blue Anchor (Crowborough) Christmas Market every year. You can look at the different booths selling things, warm up by the fire with a drink of mulled wine, or just enjoy the atmosphere and live music. If we learn anything new about this event, we’ll put it here.
  • The Staplehurst Christmas Food and Craft Market is on November 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A lot of local bakers, makers, and artists are selling Christmas goods and making holiday fun things.
  • The Amelia in Tunbridge Wells is having a Christmas market for the second year in a row. The idea for the event came from the past of craft in Tunbridge Wells. It also helps local businesses and our creative economy. Get handmade and one-of-a-kind gifts like jewellery and accessories, art, candles, home goods, clothes, and a lot more in time for Christmas. Give the kids glitter tattoos, hair extensions, and face paint to do. All of this happens on December 2 and 3.
  • Tonbridge Vegan Festive Fair is on November 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be many food, drink, clothing, art, and beauty stalls that are vegan-friendly. Along with facts and charities. The setting is inside, and there are lots of free parking spots near the Angel Centre. £3 for adults, kids under 16 go free with an adult.
  • Frost Fair will be held at The Bell in Ticehurst on November 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Look around the booths and maybe grab a bite to eat or a drink of your choice. Get some gifts for Christmas early, or maybe some secret gifts for yourself. There will also be a holiday BBQ and some holiday music. Free to enter!
  • The Bidborough Primary School PTA is having a Christmas fair. We don’t have any information about this yet, but we’ll add it here as soon as we do.
  • The Greyhound is having a Christmas Gift Evening on November 8 from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. There will be fizz and mulled wine, and gift shops from the area will be open.
  • Every year, Benenden Primary School has a Christmas fair. We’ll add more information here as soon as we get it.

There will be christmas fairs  near you in 2023!

  • The annual Advent Fair at St. Thomas Church in Groombridge is on November 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It raises money for the church and other local charities. A lot of great cakes and baked goods, mulled wine and mince pies, wrapping paper and Christmas cards, Advent calendars, holiday clothes, and activities and games for kids will be sold at church-run booths. There will also be a small group of hand-picked booths from companies that sell great gifts.
  • The Markbeech Winter Fair takes place at The Barn at Falconhurst on November 18 from 12 to 5 p.m. There will be lots of Christmas gifts, mulled wine, and other fun holiday things.
  • Kenward’s Christmas Fair—more information will be added as it comes out.
  • The Christ Church Southborough Christmas Fair is another yearly event that hasn’t said when it will happen yet. It usually has arts and crafts, gifts, cakes, a raffle, games for kids, refreshments, mulled wine, and more. It’s also free to get in. More details to come…
  • Crowborough Christmas Gift and Craft Market: Saturday, November 25, 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Crowborough Community Centre. You can buy tickets HERE.
  • We are still waiting to hear about the URC Church Christmas Fair to see if it will happen this year.
  • Hildenborough’s Stocks Green School on December 2. Come on over to help a lovely school in the area.
  • This is the King Charles the Martyr Christmas Fair. It will be held in King Charles the Martyr Church on Saturday, December 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • The St. Luke’s Church Christmas Fair is on November 25 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at St. Luke’s Church in Tunbridge Wells. There will be lots of crafts, old items, a Christmas tombola, and more!
  • Maidstone Wind Symphony’s Festive Fare on December 16 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. will include songs from Frozen and Sleigh Ride. The show starts at 3 pm. A small Christmas fair will also be there. This takes place on Buckland Road at Maidstone Grammar School for Girls.
  • Judd School Christmas Market—more information to come.
  • Foal Farm’s Christmas Fair is coming up on November 18. There will be gifts, a drawing for prizes, food, and more.
  • St. John’s church in Hildenborough; more information to come.
  • Water Lane Walled Garden has a Christmas market in Cranbrook on December 2nd and 3rd. There will be a fair all over the site and in the greenhouses. At the market, there will be stands with handmade goods, food made by hand, and Christmas trees from Hole Park. People who walk in get in for free, but parking costs £7.50.
  • On November 17 from 7 to 9 p.m., Sussex Road School will have a Christmas shopping event.
  • Christmas in Tenterden, November 24th and 25th. This will happen at the same time as the Christmas lights going on. Take in some tasty food and pick up some cool stuff from the vendors.

Here are some more of Kent’s best christmas fairs…

  • This year, the 3H Foundation’s Christmas Market will be at St. Augustine’s on Crescent Road. It’s on November 18 from 1 to 4 p.m., and there will be gift shops, a raffle, and a cotton candy machine.
  • The Hever Christmas Fair is on November 9 at Hever Castle. At this fair, you can buy gifts, electronics, and other things. All the money raised goes to Hever Primary School and St. Peter’s Church, Hever.
  • The Hospice in the Weald Christmas Fair is on November 25th and 26th, from 10am to 4pm each day. We love this Christmas fair more than any other in the area. There will be a usual Christmas market in the Hospice gardens, but it will be inside.
  • The artisan Christmas fair at Chiddingstone Castle is on November 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. At Chiddingstone Castle, there are holiday items and more than 70 booths. A ticket costs £7.50 for an adult and £4 for a child.
  • Weald of Kent Grammar School on December 3 from 12 to 3 p.m.
  • Sissinghurst Castle Holiday Market – more information to come.
  • Woodlands Primary School PTA: This is on December 9 from 12 to 3 p.m. on Tonbridge’s Hunt Road.
  • The Lamberhurst Christmas Market is on November 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also, 15 other booths will be there selling things to help Hospice in the Weald. There will be hot chocolate, mulled wine, and other drinks.
  • Bluebell Vineyard Christmas Fair: We’ll add more information about this event here as we get it.
  • Paddock Wood Christmas Market and Christmas Lights – November 26 – Watch as the Christmas Tree Lights are turned on in Paddock Wood and enjoy the holiday market shops and entertainment.
  • Please do not lose it. It’s a local handmade craft show at Coolings from December 1st to 3rd. Coolings Garden Centre has more than 75 stands.

  • The Clay Studio Christmas Pottery Sale: This is a lovely Christmas event where lots of unique ceramics made by local artists are sold. If we find out anything else, we’ll add it here.
  • Hilden Grange Christmas Fair: December 2, from 1 to 5 p.m. There will be a huge Christmas fair with lots of things for kids and adults to do.
  • The Withyham Christmas Market is on November 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can expect a lot of beautiful, unique, hand-made items. Free to enter!
  • Sacred Heart Festive Fete—more information on this event coming soon.
  • Tonbridge School is having an Autumn/Winter Fair on November 4th and 5th from 10am to 4 pm.
  • The date of the Rotherfield Primary School Christmas Fair has not yet been set.
  • Bearsted Christmas Market: November 5, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Bearsted Green. There will also be a light switch on and live music from the Kent Police band. There will also be a cave with Christmas goods and gifts.
  • The date of the St. Augustine Nursery Christmas Craft Fair has not yet been set.
  • Rochester Castle Christmas Market: This market is held in the beautiful Rochester Castle Gardens every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from November 25 to December 10. There will be many booths with different kinds of food, a funfair, and live acts.
  • Poppinghole Christmas Fair: November 23, 4–8 p.m. At this Christmas shopping night, there will be bubbles and spa treats.
  • St. George’s Christmas Fair—date of this event TBA.
  • The date of the Hastings Etsy Made Local Christmas Market has not yet been set.
  • Petts Wood Christmas Carnival is on 25 November in Orpington from 12 pm to 6 pm. In Petts Wood, there are funfair rides, holiday food and drink stands, Santa’s Grotto and musical performances. At 5pm, fireworks will go off and then all the Christmas lights will be turned on.
  • The event at Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys is still to be announced.
  • Frant Christmas Market: The George Inn is in charge of this event, which will happen at a later date.
  • The date of the St. Barnabas Christmas Fair has not yet been set.
  • Tonbridge Angels Christmas Fair—date of this event TBA.

  • It takes place at Langton Green Primary School on November 25 from 11 am to 3 pm. The information will come next.
  • Langton Pavilion Cafe—more information on this is still being worked out.
  • The Christmas Fair at Holmewood House is on December 2 from 12 pm to 4 pm.

  • Enjoy Christmas at Whitstable Castle from 10 am to 4 pm on December 2nd and 3rd. There will be stands inside and outside the fair selling Christmas gifts, holly wreaths, and other things. There is also live music and a cave.
  • The Dickensian Christmas Festival in Rochester takes place on December 2 and 3. This famous festival happens every year and is full of Victorian treats, characters dressed up as characters from the stories, and fun Dickensian parades.
  • The Bidborough Village Nursery School Christmas Fair will happen eventually. More info to come.

  • The independent farmers market in Tunbridge Wells will take place on December 2, 9, 16, and 23. Get fresh food from nearby farms for yourself or as gifts for family and friends.

  • The Christmas Farmer’s Market in Penshurst is on December 2. There is always a wide range of delicious holiday food to choose from.
